The Beautiful Gate Center (BGC) will be a multi-disciplinary Developmental Learning Center for children and youth with Developmental Disabilities (DD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) serving the Charleston, SC tri-county region.
The first of its kind in South Carolina, BGC will operate as a private, full-day, year-round developmental learning center providing an integrated program of special education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech and Language Pathology (SLP) therapy with an emphasis on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) technology, led by an innovative team of board-certified of clinicians.
Participants will be enrolled in the program under a one-year term and offered a variety of payment options including private tuition.
BGC will serve the needs of significantly-impacted individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders, and their families, who are inadequately served in existing public and private special education programs due to the individuals’ need for a broader range of more intensive learning supports than those traditional environments offer.
Beautiful Gate Center is designed as a center-based, multi-disciplinary therapeutic day treatment center, not a school, but is nevertheless focused on addressing the full range of learning objectives including behavioral, social, communication, academic, coping, health and daily living skills.
